Claire Moores is an independent history researcher with over fifteen years experience of genealogical and local historical research projects, with a particular interest in the landscape and social history of Cheshire.
Her principal areas of study are Great Warford and Marthall, near Alderley Edge, and she has set up a successful community history website for the parishes which can be accessed here : www.warfordhistory.co.uk
She also has a keen interest in historic landscape characterisation, application and analysis and was recently invited by South Trafford Archaeology Group to speak on the landscape history of Great Warford.
Take a look at my recent posts to see what has caught my interest this month.
Other interests include preliminary research on current local history provision in primary schools.
If you would like to book Claire for a history talk for your group or society, please contact her for rates and subject areas. Much of her work on landscape history can be tailored to interest groups from all over Cheshire, with local examples.
